Dubai Opera opens tonight with a spectacular show by the famous Spanish tenor Placido Domingo.

The first Opera House in UAE opens today at The Opera district of Downtown Dubai. The Opera is designed to resemble the iconic DHOW, a traditional sailing vessel of Arabian Gulf. This dhow shaped Opera is set to become a cultural hub of the region.

The house comes with a capacity of 2000 and features a multi format venue with use of hydraulic lifts and seating wagons which can be relocated making it usable of all type of events while the extra seats are stored in garages beneath the theater.

The Dubai Opera can be a venue for opera, theatre, concerts, art exhibitions, orchestra, film ,sports events giving the ultimate experience from a state of the art audio visual technology and support systems.
