Simple Cheesecake



  • Butter biscuit crumbs -2 cups
  • Sugar – 3 tbsp
  • Butter – 3 tbsp
  • Cream Cheese softened – 4 cups
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
  • Egg – 4


Prepared a baking tin with butter rubbed all over. Combine biscuit crumbs, sugar and butter, then press onto the base of a prepared tin (9inch).  Heat oven to 200C.

Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla essence, beat until blended well. Add eggs one at a time blending each one.

Pour the cheese mixture over the lined base; the biscuit mixture in the baking tin.

Bake for 45 minutes until the center is set. Run a knife around edges. Cool it for 1 hour. Refrigerate for 4 hours.

Spread a thin layer of whipped cream or chocolate ganache or some chopped fruits as per your taste.
